OHOM holds a weekly Prison Arts program at Columbia River Correctional Institution in Portland, OR. The program brings in various artists from a variety of disciplines including theater, storytelling and creative writing to work with the inmates. About 30 inmates participate in the program. Additionally, OHOM has been fortunate to have intern/volunteer Victoria Spenser assist in this weekly program.
On May 27th, the inmates will be performing their first show, “CREDIT FOR TIME SERVED: AN EVENING OF STORIES, POEMS & SONGS”.
